Lessons are short and instructional, built on a foundation of the latest in marketing research. The concepts discussed are inspired by published and peer-reviewed papers that allow in-depth reviews on the theory, data and experiments.

Labs, on the other hand, are designed to highlight new ideas in the marketing that hold significant promise, but have not been proven to the same standards. Labs are meant to inspire curiosity, experimentation and discussion about future directions for marketing research.

  • 100-level lessons are appropriate for all types of marketers regardless of experience and generally apply to a wider set of businesses. Ideas can usually be implemented within several hours without high technical sophistication.

  • 300-level lessons are some of the most sophisticated lessons that we offer on the site and offer instruction about a larger, more strategic areas of marketing. While we attempt to offer some guidance as to how to implement these ideas, their best fit is often within the strategic plan of the business instead of a plug-and-play solution for an existing marketing campaign.
